Steve is certified as a personal trainer by the National Strength Conditioning Associations (NSCA), with over 15 years of experience. His previous personal experiences include Olympic lifting and power lifting. Today, Steve trains clients for overall fitness, including core strengthening and stability progressions with basic resistance training exercises. He has worked with clients with a wide variety of health issues including rotator cuff problems, knee and hip replacement. Marian Lally![]() |
Marian is Group Exercise Director at Rock Creek Sports Club. She is certified by the American Council of Exercise (ACE) and the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), and has more than 20 years in the fitness field. Her background in classical ballet, as well as her yoga and Pilates training, helps her to coach proper form and emphasize the importance of maintaining flexibility while building strength. Her training style incorporates functional fitness and a willingness to work around a cleint’s injuries, ‘aches and pains’, post surgery needs, and other limitations, while continually aiming for a challenging, personalized workout. She has experience working with clients of all ages, including children, teens, and seniors. Marian has a B.S. degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland and is mom to 3 children. | |

Jeshua is a certified personal trainer with the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). His personal pursuits include biking, golf, fishing and water skiing. Weight training is important to Jeshua because it allows him and his clients to maintain a higher level of self-wellness, keep the mind clear, and be aware of his/her surroundings. Angela is certified as a personal trainer and group exercise instructor through AFAA. She has been in the fitness industry for almost 20 years. Angela has successfully trained clients for fitness competitions, class reunions, weddings as well as everyday life. She specializes in incorporating Interval Training, Boxing, Pilates and/or Yoga into her training sessions to enhance client results, designing workouts that are efficient and effective. Her fitness DVD “Tighten Up” was released in 2005 and encompasses her training techniques. Angela holds a BS in Communications Studies from Northwestern University in Evanston, Il. She received her JD from Washington University School of Law in her hometown, St. Louis, MO. | |

Jean is certified as a personal trainer by the American Council on Exercise (ACE). Jean has had a lifelong interest in fitness and nutrition, and recently began competing in triathlons and 5ks. Jean works with clients to translate short and long-term goals into fun, safe and personalized training sessions. She provides clear exercise schedules, email reminders and guidance on nutrition. Jean trains both exercise novices and experienced athletes, and helps clients suffering from joint, weight and flexibility issues. When she’s not at Rock Creek Sports Club, she volunteers at N Street Village, where she leads a fitness class for homeless women. Jean has A BA from the University of Chicago, a JD from NYU School of Law, and is a mom to three daughters. | |
Michael Bennett![]() |
Michael is certified as a personal trainer by the National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association. He has been involved in fitness and exercise for much of his life, including participating in track and field with a specialty in sprints. He started as a trainer exclusively to athletes in 2006, but has since expanded his clientele. Michael has trained many different kinds of people with very different goals and body types, with great results. He attended the Universtiy of Okahoma and Howard University, majoring in Biotechnology Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. | |

Erik is certified as a personal trainer by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and has been training since 2005. Erik was mentored by Aaron Mattes, the developer of Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) and interned at Mattes’ clinic in Sarasota, Florida where he gained a wealth of rehabilitation and flexibility experience. Erik has trained in a variety of Martial Arts for more than 18 years, including Tae Kwan Do, Okinawa Karate, Judo, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He is a 2nd degree black belt in Shorin Ryu Karate. Erik graduated from University of Maryland with a BS in Sports Kinesiology. | |
Dennis Powell |
Dennis is certified as a personal trainer by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). His personal experience includes weight lifting, running, and basketball. He has a passion for exercising and eating healthfully, and helps motivate his clients to lead healthier lifestyles as well. Dennis focuses on the strength and conditioning aspect of training and also works with his clients to tone problem areas and lose weight. He creates individual workouts for each of his clients using different techniques and equipment such as plyometric exercises, core stability exercises, kettlebells, medicine balls, bands, and free weights. He enjoys working with clients of all ages and abilities. Dennis has taken health enhancement, exercise science, and physical education courses at Montgomery College, and he has also attended a workshop specializing in Longevity Training for Seniors. | |
Tatyana Lubcher |
Tatyana is a personal trainer and nutritional consultant certified by the National Personal Training Institute (NPTI). Staying fit and eating right has always been her obsession. After turning 50 she realized these two things were the best investment and chose a career in fitness. Tatyana trains people with health issues (as well as without them). Her training style is centered around her clients with the goal of helping them make progress in all 5 components of fitness. Tatyana has 20+ years of experience in teaching and tutoring children, adults and seniors. She holds a BA in Education, Linguistics and Literature. | |
Robert Giles |
Rob is a personal trainer certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE). Rob developed his love of fitness through the sports of basketball, baseball, and football. Although he is a high school history teacher by trade, his love of fitness brought him to the gym. His experience in education allows him to explain his training methods to his clients in a very clear and precise manner. Rob uses a wide variety of training methods to help his clients reach their ultimate fitness goals. Using free weights, machines, kettlebells, ropes, and a variety of circuits, Rob can help his clients reach their personal goals. Whether they want to lose weight, gain strength, work on their core, or just tone up, Rob trains clients with all abilities and levels of fitness. Rob is a graduate of James Madison University. |
